Wade Martin Ramie was born on May 19, 1959. He departed this life on June 30, 2024.

Wade graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1977. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a SSgt and he served for 13 years and 8 months. During this time, he met Emmie Ramie and his pride and joy was born: his son, Emmanuel Justin Ramie Sr.

After serving, Wade was awarded an honorable discharge. He then made Mississippi his home. After working a few different jobs, he was employed with the Biloxi V.A. Hospital. During his time at the V.A. Wade worked as a Leader Man in the yard shop. He was a heavy equipment operator. This is when he met his current wife, Melessia Groves Ramie.

Wade loved music, dancing, and trying to sing! He never met a stranger, and he enjoyed helping others. He loved being around people and telling his life stories. He especially loved expressing how proud he was of his son. Wade was also a lover of sports. He played baseball, football, golf, basketball, and also enjoyed swimming. I believe football was his favorite! He loved his New Orleans Saints!

Wade is preceded in death by his parents Joseph M. Ramie Jr., and Marie LaBeaud-Ramie; brothers Kerry Ramie, Byron Ramie Sr. (Carlas), Joseph M. Ramie III (Felicia), David R. Ramie Sr. (Martha), and Elston Ramie (Joni).

Wade leaves behind his wife, Melessia Groves-Ramie, his son Emmanuel Justin Ramie, a stepdaughter Chrishanta Groves; his sisters Wanda Johnson (Alvin), Caroline Register (Joseph), his grandchildren, Elise Ramie, Eriana Ramie, Emmanuel Ramie Jr., and Eja Daniel; along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Infinity Funeral Home Chapel, at 12:00 pm.  Visitation will start at 11:00 am.
