Willie Arthur Broughton

Willie A. Broughton, age 75, of Gulfport, Mississippi, departed this life on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. He was born November 10, 1939 in Grand Bay, Alabama, the son of Isaiah and Carrie Jones Broughton. He attended Dells High School in Grand Bay, Alabama, where he acquired skills in various trades. He loved working with his hands and eventually became a self-employed contractor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah and Carrie Broughton, and seven siblings. Willie is survived by his spouse, Rosemary Crosby Broughton; one sister, Carrie Bell Jacobs of Moss Point, MS; two daughters; Valsoria Broughton of Bay St. Louis, MS and Adrian (Darron) Turner of Gulfport, MS; two sons, Frankie Parker of Biloxi, MS and Garland Ray Crosby of Gulfport, MS; four grandchildren, Shameek Moore, Isaiah Broughton, and Alizaiah and Allanah Turner. Funeral services for Mr. Broughton will be Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, Gulfport. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM.
