Mr. Willie Charles Breland, 63, a resident of Wiggins, Mississippi, passed away, Friday, September 26, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Willie, who was lovingly referred to by family and friends as Charles, was born in Wiggins, MS, August 5, 1951, to the union of the late Willie Breland and Beatrice Breland. Charles attended Locker High School and Stone High School. He was married to Mary Ann Breland for 36 years. Charles served proudly in the United States Army. He spent his working career as a forklift driver. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted person who would not hesitate to lend a helping hand and for having a peaceful and gentle spirit. Charles loved being outdoors. He spent many hours hunting and fishing with his brothers. Charles is survived by his mother, Beatrice Breland, his loving and devoted wife, Mary Ann Breland; two brothers, Demond (Michelle) Breland and Armond Breland; eight sisters, Murdis (Charlie) Davis, Vivian (Levion) Lewis, Erma (Johnnie) Brogan, Annette Monroe, Belinda Breland, Dorothy (Kelvin) Gray, Valerie Breland and Annie Harris; nine children, Shelia (Terry) McCray, Sebrina Atkinson, Keith (Frances) Redeemer, Brian (Katania) Breland, Terrance (Renette) Breland, Willie C. (Lacurbie) Breland, Alexis Breland, Quincy Breland and Dalan Breland; twenty-one grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two aunts, Emma Calloway and Hulda Johnson; six uncles, Elbert Breland, Donald (Jennie V) Breland, George (Lynn) Breland, Joe James, Mitchell Breland and Author Breland; a very special person Mark (Angela) James and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Willie Charles Breland will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Noon at Bethlehem Baptist Church located at 552 Magnolia Drive South, Wiggins, MS 39577 with visitation one hour before.
