Willie Earl Worthen

The sun rose for Mr. Willie E. Worthen on Novemeber 17th 1958 in Gulfport, MS. He was born to the late Mr. Jessie Worthen and mrs. Lillie Wilson-Worthen of Denton, Georgia. Mr. Willie E. Worthen was a resident of Gulfport, Mississippi for 52 years. During this time Mr. Worthen joined the United States Air Force at the age of twenty-one and served three years. Willie was preceded in death by his father Jessie Worthen and mother, Lillie Wilson-Worthen, two sisters; Freddie Mae Rankin and Mary Griffin and his aunt, Mattie L. Lawson of Gulfport, Mississippi. Mr. Worthen leaves to cherish his memory eight brothers; Robert Worthen of Hazelhurst, Georgia, Percy Worthen of Oakland, California; Bobby Lee Worthen of Seattle, Washington; James Worthen of Portland, Oregon; and Larry Worthen (Cynthia); Alvin Worthen, Jessie Worthen (Debra) and Steve Worthen (Sherry) all of Gulfport, Mississippi; four sisters, Almeda Worthen-Clark (Earl), Sallie Worthen-Moore (Sam), Patricia Worthen-Carter (Earl) and Mattie Worthen-Boggs (Leniar), The Wilson and Kendricks family and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one only to the caring professionalism of RICHMOND-AUGUST FUNERAL HOME.
