Bishop August purchased the company, then known as Richmond Funeral Home, on January 1, 2011, and renamed it Richmond-August Family Funeral Home. In 2019, the company transitioned to Infinity Funeral Home. Bishop August has a long history of service to others. It was through service to his country, in the United States Air Force, that the Louisiana native established roots on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His vision to serve the constituents of the Mississippi Gulf Coast with excellence and integrity propelled him to receive his degree in Funeral Service from Bishop State College and further serve as apprentice to Mr. Jesse Richmond, Jr. for a number of years before acquiring the funeral home. In his position as owner-operator of Richmond-August Funeral Home, Bishop August offers proven guidance, professionalism and genuine care to families.
In addition to his role with Infinity Funeral Home, he serves as the Senior Pastor of a thriving church in the local area, as well as a pastor to pastors (bishop) across the United States and overseas. Bishop August’s dedication to unparalleled service, integrity, and excellence extends to the families of Infinity Funeral Home, the members of his church and community. He is regarded as a man of integrity, wisdom and vision by those he is privileged to serve.
